Store and forward

 

What is "store and forward"?

We would like to think it never happens, but occassionally network connectivity can be lost. This can prevent your eftpos pinpad communicating with your bank - meaning transactions cannot be

authorised.

 

OOLIO Pay offers "store and forward" functionality, that allows the pinpads to keep processing transactions, even though the network is down. The assumption is that the transactions will be validated and authorised, once the network is re-established. Once re-established, the transactions will drip-feed bank to the bank for authorisation.

 

Store and Forward is not turned on automatically. Merchants must request for it to be activated on their devices.

 

What do you need to be aware of?

When you enable offline payments, your integration approves payments before the money is received from the shopper's account. That means it is possible that you will not receive the money for the goods that are taken by the shopper. There's also a higher risk that card fraud goes undetected.

You are fully liable for the risk of failed captures, chargebacks, and disputes related to payments that you process offline.

The risk can be mitigated by the number of transactions allowed per device (up to 199) and a ceiling can be placed on the dollar amount of transactions that can be processed when in store and forward mode.

OOLIO online portal

 

Your online portal is your merchant reconciliation tool that

provides you a full picture of your card transactions. It allows you to:

 

  • View a dashboard showing all Sales, Refunds and Payouts

  • View all Settlements

  • View all disbursments or payouts

  • Search for individual transactions, by date, time, type (POS or eCommerce)

Software Support

With OOLIO Pay, there is no more getting stuck between your POS provider, the bank and any middleware providers should there be any issues with your eftpos machines. Your POS provder will manage and be your point of contact from the time the issue is reported until its resolution.

 

We recognise that the implementation phase is just the start of our partnership. Your POS system is a mission critical part of your operation, which is why - as hospitality people ourselves - we understand that you need the backing of a reliable partner.

That's why we offer full 24/7/365 support

And when we say "full", we mean it, Our office is always manned. You won't be caught calling a call centre, and then hoping that the support person on call will hear the wake up message. We're on duty .... so you can be.

 

Any issues raised, either by phone or email, are logged and tracked in our ticketing system, You will be updated on any progress and can see the status of any of your support tickets at any time through the customer portal.
